The natural environment in Camagüey has a high level of conservation. The Sierra de Cubitas nature reserve, 27 km from the city of Camagüey, is characterised for its high biodiversity and its unique landscapes, associated with Cerro Tuabaquey, Paso de los Paredones and Hoyo de Bonet.

What to see?
The City of Nuevitas. It is interesting to discover the history of its origins, where the port is the best, as the current city officially dates back to 1818. It was visited by Christopher Columbus on his first voyage on 18th November 1492.
The City of Santa Cruz del Sur. The town was founded in 1828 on the sand bank already occupied by some guano huts built by a main contingent of fishermen, who had gradually reached this area since 1826.
