The climate in Cuba is predominantly tropical, as such there are two seasons: the rainy season, between the months of May and October; and the dry season, between November and April. The average annual temperature is 25ºC. June and September are the best months to travel to Cuba.
Where the water is concerned, the average temperature is 28ºC in summer and 25ºC during the winter. In some mountainous areas, such as the Sierra Maestra, the temperatures drop slightly to around 20ºC.

What to see?
Calero Funeral Cave: The site of an aboriginal cemetery with 66 burials, which is considered to be the biggest finding of its kind in Cuba. This is also where the remains of the island's oldest man (eight thousand years old) were found.
Ambrosio and Muslims' Caves: Sites of notable archaeological value.
