Few places in the world are as amazing as the Riviera Maya. This 120 kilometre-long coastal strip borders the bright turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean; it is halfway along the North-East coast of the Yucatan peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo and it ends at a village named Punta Allen. Numerous dazzling white sand beaches slope down to the gentle waves, and calm and solitude are the key note on many of them.

What to see?

The Riviera Maya receives visitors all year round, although most stay away from the coast from June to September.

Prices: There are two hotel seasons in Mexico: high season (from 15 December to Easter Week) and low season (the rest of the year). You¿ll find the best offers in late spring, summer and autumn.

It's better to visit the Riviera Maya's tourist resorts along the coast from November to April, and the cities in the interior from May to October.

What to do?

The Riviera Maya is a great place for trekking or horse-riding, to admire its breathtaking landscapes and its jungle scenery bathed by the Caribbean Sea, or for diving into the cenotes (pools connected by underground rivers) or even sliding through the tree tops harnessed to a steel cable.
