Tenerife hotels have been able to adapt very well to this constant increase in visitors, maintaining a high standard of quality and expanding their services so that travellers can enjoy a truly relaxing experience.

Tenerife is the largest island in the Canary Islands and the only one with two international airports, which are visited by approximately five million visitors annually. The popularity of this tourist destination is not only due to the good weather, the excellent range of outdoor activities or the natural riches of the island. Much of this fame is also the result of the warmth with which the islanders receive visitors, of its rich and varied cuisine and of its unique Carnival.
The third highest volcano in the world rises over a gigantic cauldron with a 17-kilometre diameter. El Teide, which is 3,718 metres high, is not only the undisputed protagonist of this national park, but the highest peak in Spanish territory. The protected area of Las Cañadas (ravines) can be explored by car or on foot, always following the routes specifically designed for this purpose. There is also the possibility of reaching the highest point of the volcano using the mythical cable car and doing the final stretch to the crater on foot, from where you can see at least four of the seven Canary Islands on clear days.
Known to the Aborigines as the "Muralla del Infierno' (Wall of Hell), this volcanic geological feature today has very little to do with frightening and is heavily linked to tourism. The image of this impressive natural wall that reaches a height of 600 metres continues to be breathtaking, but in the eyes of the visitor it is a shape that, although disturbing, inspires more beauty than fear. The acantilados de Los Gigantes can be seen from multiple viewpoints, but the most interesting of all is the one obtained by a boat excursion through this coastal area.
It is a unique example of an unwalled colonial city that still preserves its original fifteenth century layout virtually intact. The historic centre of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, brings the flavour of the streets of Old Havana, Cartagena de Indias and other American cities to which its traditional architecture and cobbled streets served as inspiration. Now packed with cafes and shops, these pedestrian areas are part of the mandatory tour of through the city's history.
